We believe the world works better when more of us are pulled by love than controlled by fear.

Heart-Strong is a growing community of people exploring what that actually looks like in practice. Through art, storytelling, conversation, and real relationships across difference, we're discovering what becomes possible when connection replaces isolation and love replaces fear.

This isn't an organization with a master plan. It's a collection of people and projects that found each other along the way. Some are artists. Some are writers. Some are storytellers. Some are listeners. And some are builders. But all of us are learning.

Here's what we're working on right now.

FROM WITHIN Art Show

A traveling art show and fundraiser featuring work by incarcerated artists. Born out of an unlikely friendship between a white guy from Maine and a Black man from Brooklyn. The art bridges the inside and the outside. Creativity as healing. Connection across walls that were designed to separate.

Stories From the Trails

Exploring where love and fear show up in our lives. Sharing stories on nature, art, community, science, and helping people live as their whole selves.

Children's Books

Stories that help kids stay whole before the boxes close around them, and help adults find the keys to unlock the boxes that already have. Creative art designed for healing through storytelling, starting with the youngest among us.

Campfire Conversations

Some of the most honest conversations happen around a fire. Campfire Conversations is a podcast where real people sit down around real fires and talk about what matters. Purpose, vulnerability, connection, and what it means to show up in a world that often makes those things feel risky.

Community-ism

Exploring the question: what if we organized society around community the way capitalism organizes around capital? Not community as a nice thing to have once the economy is sorted. Community as the organizing principle itself.

Different projects. Same root.

An art show in Maine. A podcast around a fire. A Substack about love and fear. On the surface, these don't seem connected.

But they all grew from the same question. What happens when people have the courage to reach across difference? When someone makes something beautiful and someone else has the courage to say so? When we sit with each other long enough to stop performing and start being real?

Heart-Strong isn't trying to build a movement. It's trying to pay attention to what's already happening when people choose love over fear. And then make more room for it.

About Heart-Strong

Heart-Strong started with a question. What if healing men is one of the most overlooked ways to heal the world?

That question led Jeremy Litchfield, a Maine-based writer, social entrepreneur, and father, into a year-long adventure. He started by exploring where love and fear show up in men's lives. That exploration led to real friendships across walls he never expected to cross. It led to campfire conversations that went deeper than any conference room ever could. It led to children's books, an art show, and a growing community of people who believe connection matters more than credentials.

Jeremy isn't leading Heart-Strong. He's tending it. The people, the artists, the friends, the listeners, the readers, the ones who show up around the fire. They're Heart-Strong too.
